Telkom's security team, in collaboration with partners and stakeholders, has arrested nearly 3,000 suspects between July 2017 and November 2023, addressing the severe economic impact of cable theft estimated at R7 billion annually, with a wider impact of R187 billion. Additionally, 501 suspects have been convicted, collectively receiving sentences totaling 2,521 years of imprisonment. We are collaborating with the Communication Risk Information Centre for Telecommunication Operators (COMRIC) to
