Don’t get me wrong, if you don’t want to dress in lace and silk that’s ok 🤷🏼‍♀️ buuut A lot of the time there’s this assumption that men in the past were by default HYPER masculine alpha male bros, when this simply wasn’t the case! Take a look at some of the late 16th and early 17th century portraits of men who were prominent royal courtiers and you’ll see what I mean 👀 of course they were a very small, select group in society, but who’s to say that working men didn’t yearn for the lace too?!
