Ruqya, in its most basic form, is the Islamic act of controlled expulsion of spirits or negative energies via incantations of verses from the Qur’an, parts from ad’iyah (supplication)of the Prophet (May Allah's Peace and Belessings be upon Him) and general supplications of healing and support of God.
