National Highway Traffic Safety Administration launches new campaign

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) states that distracted driving has become a deadly epidemic on our roads. The NHTSA reports that in 2019, distracted driving killed 3,142 people nationally. That was an alarming increase from the previous year. Distracted driving refers to ANY activity you can do on your phone including texting, calling, changing music, using maps, social media, etc. This also includes if you are stopped at a red light, stop sign, or in heavy traffic.
