Tom Cruise attended the 2025 CinemaCon, where he paid tribute to his former co-star and friend, Val Kilmer, who passed away on 1 April after battling pneumonia.

The 2000 sketch's co-writer, Michael Schur, joked that "30 Rock would have crumbled to the ground" had the cameo worked out.
