President Trump kicked off three days of meetings in Canada, saying 'our primary focus will be trade,' but with minimal evidence of progress to offer on long-promised deals.

U.S. trading partners hope face time with the president in Canada can serve as a breakthrough for stalled negotiations.

The tentative agreement between the White House and Beijing would, among other things, allow Chinese students into American universities again.
