Homicide detectives are looking into whether a shooting was accidental or incidental after a 19-year-old died and his younger brother was hospitalized.

A teen is dead and his brother is in the hospital after a shooting at a home in north Harris County early Monday morning.

A man was killed, and another was critically injured in a shooting in Houston’s east side Sunday morning. Authorities with Harris County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the situation. Officials arrived at the 14000 block of Garber Lane and found two males with gunshot wounds.

The identities of the occupants have not yet been released and the three surviving teenagers are in stable condition, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff’s office said the victim, a 19-year-old, died at the scene, while his brother, believed to be 16 or 17, was taken to the hospital.
