Minnesota’s Jimmy Clark scored an even-strength goal on an assist by Aaron Huglen to knot the game 2-2 with 10:22 left in regulation. But 3 minutes into the extra frame, the Gophers’ Ryan Chesley was sent to the penalty box for hooking, and Edwards ended the game 24 seconds later.

Michigan hockey was able to upset No. 4 ranked Minnesota 3-2 in overtime. After being down by one goal for most of the second period, the Michigan offense exploded in the final minutes to take a 2-1 lead.
