When we first published this recipe for a Ding Dong Cake, I was smitten. I have fond memories of eating the throwback treat when I was a kid (not often; I had to beg for one at the grocery store).
Bake until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean and the top springs back when lightly pressed, about 25 minutes.
