Free agent Pete Alonso will return to the New York Mets and the fire his agent, Scott Boras, for failing to deliver on promises, a WFAN radio host predicts.

It is conceivable that Baty and Acuña alone could replace Alonso's home runs, which is to say nothing of what they stand to gain from their new center fielder. That is Jose Siri, who hit as many homers on his own last season (18) as the Mets got from all their center fielders.

Pete Alonso is still looking for a contract, but he hasn’t had a ton of suitors. Outside of the Toronto Blue Jays and his lifelong team, the New York Mets, the veteran slugger has minimal options. Mets owner Steve Cohen has publically made it clear he only wants the Polar Bear back on his terms.
