RALEIGH, N.C. - Logan Stankoven is expected to make his Carolina Hurricanes debut on Sunday as his new club seeks a fourth straight win, taking on the Winnipeg Jets at Lenovo Center.
On Friday afternoon, the Preds dealt forward Mark Jankowski to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick (2026) as the NHL Trade Deadline came and went. Jankowski joined forwards Gustav Nyquist and Tommy Novak, as well as defenseman Luke Schenn, as the players Nashville dealt away in recent days.
The Carolina Hurricanes will take on the Winnipeg Jets (44-16-4) tonight, the first game of the Logan Stankoven/Mark Jankowski era. The Canes have strung together three wins in a row and perhaps there will be a bit of a lighter group now that the Mikko Rantanen drama is over.
