Civil arrest warrants have been issued for Democratic lawmakers who left Texas to prevent a quorum and avoid taking a vote. The governor is calling for an investigation. The controversy centers around a proposed redistricting plan over Congressional seats.

But this is not the first time lawmakers have fled the Texas State Capitol avoid voting on a measure they disagreed with, “breaking quorum” by depriving the statehouse of enough legislators to conduct business.
