Biden’s Ukraine directive has stirred debate, as some officials worry it will cut too deeply into American stockpiles and jeopardize military needs elsewhere.

The United States will provide Ukraine with a $725 million weapons package, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Monday, as President Joe Biden's outgoing administration seeks to bolster the government in Kyiv in its war with Russian invaders before leaving office in January.

Trump threatened the trade bloc with 100-percent tariffs should it attempt to create its own form of currency to undermine the U.S. dollar.

President-elect Donald Trump on Saturday warned members of the bloc against any attempt to supplant the dollar.
