Ukraine’s capital Kyiv came under a large-scale Russian drone and missile attack overnight into Saturday, just hours after Russia and Ukraine began a major prisoner exchange.

KYIV (Reuters) -Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said 307 of his country's service personnel returned home on Saturday in a prisoner exchange agreed with Russia. Earlier, the Russian Defence Ministry said the same number of Russian prisoners of war had been handed over by Ukraine.

Russia launched a large drone and missile attack on Kyiv early Saturday, injuring six and damaging buildings across the city as the next stage of a prisoner swap begins.
