Notre Dame football has officially released its 2025 schedule, as they will look to make a return trip to the College Football Playoff.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have landed one of the best high school football offensive lineman in the country in their 2026 class. Tyler Merrill of Mechanicsburg, PA. has announced his commitment to Notre Dame.

Last season, Notre Dame played games against Louisville, Georgia Tech, Florida State and Virginia, as well as their already established rivalry with first-year conference member Stanford. In 2025, the Irish are scheduled to face six ACC teams, including Miami and NC State.

With conference realignment being such a prevalent topic in college football over the last few years, Notre Dame has been an interesting discussion. With their independence considered, many have wanted the Fighting Irish to join a conference to potentially establish some level of equality.
