Hendrick Motorsports wheelman Alex Bowman quipped that he'd "like to stop hitting s---" following his harrowing crash, which halted the NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway with a red flag on Sunday.

The wreck, which came in stage 2, started when Austin Cindric's Team Penske Racing Ford touched Haas Racing's Cole Custer, who jerked up toward the top of the track, collecting Bowman in the crash. Bowman's front end went flush into the wall, ending his day and bringing out the red flag to stop the race to allow the track to be cleaned.
