The Indian stock market benchmark- the Nifty 50 - ended its three-day losing streak with gains on December 11, driven by heavyweights like Infosys and Bajaj Finance, despite a decline in the Nifty Bank and PSU Bank indices.

Indian benchmark indices Nifty 50 and Sensex ended the previous trade session with minor changes. Nifty 50 closed at 24,610.05, while Sensex ended at 81,510.05. Overnight, Wall Street indices ended lower.

The trends on Gift Nifty also indicate a flat start for the Indian benchmark index. The Gift Nifty was trading around 24,690 level, a premium of nearly 7 points from the Nifty futures’ previous close.

Dr. Praveen Dwarakanath, Vice President of Hedged.in, observed that Nifty is consolidating near its resistance at 24,850. Despite forming another Doji candle, the index showed strength by recovering from an intraday drop of over 100 points.
