Hung Cao, who lost to Sen. Tim Kaine in November, will serve as Under Secretary of the Navy following his appointment by President Donald Trump.

President Donald Trump announced two more nominations for his administration on Thursday night. Both nominations were posted to the president’s Truth Social account. Trump nominated Hung Cao as undersecretary of the Navy and Paul Dabbar as deputy secretary of commerce.

The former congressional candidate has called for a military of alpha males and females willing “to rip out their own guts, eat them and ask for seconds.”

Hung Cao, a former Virginia Republican Senate candidate, was nominated by President Donald Trump on Thursday as under secretary of the U.S. Navy.
