Some of the world’s most recognizable names in golf, including defending champion Bryson DeChambeau, won’t be around at the US Open this weekend after missing the cut at the brutal Oakmont Country Club.

DeChambeau shot 7-over 77 in the second round and became the first defending champion to miss the cut since 2020.

Phil Mickelson, who is potentially playing in his final U.S. Open, was among the most painful missed cuts after closing with two double bogeys on his final four holes to finish at 8 over, one off the cut number.
