Dec. 11 (UPI) -- The relatives of 10-year-old Sara Sharif were found guilty of her murder, a British court ruled Wednesday. A British court on Wednesday found her father Urfan Sharif, 43, the girl's stepmother Beinash Batool, 30, and Urfan's brother, Faisal Malik, 29, guilty in the 2023 death of Sara Sharif.

Sara's uncle Faisal Malik, 29, was found not guilty of murder but guilty of causing or allowing Sara's death. Sharif and Batool will be sentenced on December 17. Specialist prosecutor Libby Clark said the footage of Sara laughing and joking despite her extensive injuries was what made "the most affecting parts of the case".
