46-year-old Vincent White, of Laurinburg, was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder, assault by strangulation, first-degree kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, breaking and entering to terrorize or injure, and assault with a deadly weapon with a minor present.

He faces five criminal counts, including attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, two assault charges and a burglary charge.
