Chicago Blackhawks star Connor Bedard issued a powerful statement to General Manager Kyle Davidson as trade rumors swirl around Ryan Donato, who had a breakout NHL season.

Donato had generated lots of trade interest all week, but now the Hawks will likely try to work out a new contract for their leading goal-scorer.

The NHL’s trade deadline has come and gone, and Kyle Davidson did pretty well for himself. He may not have been as active as some wanted him to be, but he accomplished some rather difficult tasks without having to give up much.
