As of now, the Storm Prediction Center includes the majority of our area in Level 2 of 5 "slight" severe weather risk for Wednesday night into Thursday morning. The main risks will be strong winds and hail, but an isolated tornado also cannot be completely ruled out.

AUSTIN (KXAN)— Officers and emergency staff across Central Texas said they’ve been responding to dozens of crashes since early Tuesday morning. As snow and ice accumulated on roads, ice thickened and created slick and dangerous conditions.

During this week's cold snap and winter storm, animal protection agencies in our area have been working non-stop to keep pets safe. Sadly, they've gotten many calls about people leaving their animals out in the elements.
