Dallas Cowboys legend Jason Witten was asked about the team's head coaching vacancy during a fan event as his name circulates as a candidate for the job.

NFL Network's Jane Slater reports that former Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten is a candidate for Dallas' open head-coaching position. In addition to Witten, Slater mentions former defensive back and current University of Colorado head coach Deion Sanders,

Jason Witten played 16 seasons for the Dallas Cowboys from 2003 to 2019. He currently leads the Cowboys in career receptions and receiving yards and has also started the most consecutive games at 229. He then retired and served as the head coach for Liberty Christian School in Argyle, Texas.
