Several streets including 99E remained closed in the area around the old mill for most of the day, reopening shortly after 4 p.m. Ash and debris continued to smolder throughout the evening as at least one fire crew remained on scene to monitor a couple of small spot fires.

At about 3:46 a.m., Clackamas Fire crews were called out to a fire at 419 Main Street. The fire was on the Blue Heron property, which is an abandoned paper mill now owned by the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde as part of their reclaiming of ancestral homelands.
