Cowboys owner and GM Jerry Jones continues to receive criticism from pockets of fans for replacing accomplished HC Mike McCarthy by promoting Schottenheimer rather than via a big-name acquisition.

Part of Jerry Jones' decision to go with Schottenheimer was continuity. With Brian's prior relationships with the locker room, he won't be starting from scratch on offense, where he will be the play-caller.

CeeDee Lamb, who has worked closely with Schotty in the past two seasons, will now see a different side of Brian as the pair will no doubt work closely together to get this offense up and rolling with Dak Prescott in 2025.
