To open a Command Prompt in either Windows version, type cmd and press Enter. The Clavier+ donationware utility lets you create a keyboard shortcut to Windows' Command Prompt.

In Windows 11, the shortcut keys to access Command Prompt are the following: Simultaneously press the Win key + X + A on the keyboard and then click Yes on the pop-up menu.

You can open the Command Prompt on a PC by right-clicking the Start icon, by searching for it, or by opening the Windows System folder.
