The Berks County Conservation District is warning residents after West Nile virus was detected in Shillington and Reading, Pennsylvania.

A mosquito sample collected in Millcreek Township on July 29 has tested positive for West Nile virus, the Erie County Department of Health announced. This is the tenth positive mosquito sample in Erie County this year. No human cases have been reported.

The Monroe County Health Department said the sample was collected by the department as part of its Mosquito Surveillance Program.
