President Donald Trump has signed an executive order to reduce tariffs on UK cars being shipped to the US, which will bring into force parts of a tariff deal agreed between the two countries last month. Speaking at the G7 summit in Canada, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer called the move a "very important day" for both countries.

President Trump and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said they had signed a trade deal that the leaders had agreed to last month. Trump said the relationship with Britain was "just fantastic," as he stood to Starmer.

The tentative agreement between the White House and Beijing would, among other things, allow Chinese students into American universities again.
