The first significant winter storm of 2025 in Wisconsin could produce blizzard conditions and drop two feet of snow in some parts of the state.
The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties for Thursday and Friday. Significant snowfall is likely.
But even if the heaviest snow doesn't materialize in southern Minnesota and the Twin Cities, the warning has also been expanded because gusty winds of up to 45 mph could create potentially hazardous, blizzard-like conditions on the roads.
Well, according to the newest outlook released from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Climate Prediction Center, pretty average. The La Niña winter, at least for now, is giving the Portland area equal chances of standard winter weather from December through February.
