WASHINGTON (AP) — Trump says Ukrainian leader Zelenskyy will visit the White House on Friday to sign a critical minerals deal. A rift is emerging between the east and west of the EU over what to do with Russia’s seized central bank reserves.

A White House official on Wednesday raised doubts about whether an invitation to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to meet U.S. President Donald Trump would make sense given Zelenskiy's comments that a minerals deal is not complete.

The White House said on Tuesday it would decide which media organizations participate in the press pool that covers the president, wresting control away from the group of journalists that has done so for decades.

The Trump Administration announced they will decide which news outlets have access to the president, not the White House Correspondents' Association.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the changes would rotate traditional outlets from the group and include some streaming services. She cast the change as a modernization of the press pool,
