Believe it or not, it wasn’t all that long ago when audiences flocked to cinemas in search of a good laugh. But in the past decade, comedies, at least the big-screen variety, have nearly disappeared.
Peter Farrelly, one half of the “Farrelly Brothers” filmmaking team, says they came closer than most fans might expect to making a follow-up to his beloved ’90s comedy There’s Something About Mary.
