Apple just unveiled three new products with the latest M5 chip, which offers a substantial graphics and AI performance leap over its predecessor, the M4 chip.
Apple is working on its first MacBook Pro with a touch-screen display, after years of arguing the technology should be saved for tablets, according to a new report. The revamped MacBooks – code-named K114 and K116 – are expected to launch late next year or early in 2027, people with knowledge of the matter told Bloomberg.

Apple's M5 chip has 10 CPU cores, 10 GPU cores, and a 16-core Neural Engine. Apple says the chip delivers up to 20% faster multithreaded performance than the M4 and up to 1.6x faster graphics in apps and games. The company also claims AI performance is now 3.5x faster than the M4 and up to six times faster than the M1.
