A 50kg breed of dog is being recognised as the new "status dog" following the ban of XL bullies in the UK. The cane corso is a powerful breed that is legal to own but unrecognised by the Kennel Club.
Early last year, it became a criminal offence to own or possess an XL Bully dog in England and Wales without a valid Certificate of Exemption as they were listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
