A popular pick for the Colts, and it’s easy to see why. They need a pass-catching threat at the tight end position, and Warren is coming off a 2024 season where he totaled over 1,200 receiving yards. But in addition to that, he’s also versatile–able to line up across the formation–and a very capable blocker.

The Indianapolis Colts need to nail the 2025 NFL Draft if they want to close the gap on the Houston Texans in the AFC South.

In a recent 2025 NFL mock draft from The Athletic, the Indianapolis Colts get help in the secondary, taking a versatile DB at pick 14.

The Colts have seven picks in the 2025 draft, one in each round. Unlike in years past, when we’ve seen Ballard trade back for more picks, for this exercise, I didn’t execute any trades. Instead, I focused on simply selecting players who could hopefully elevate the franchise in the short and long term.

Although the Indianapolis Colts didn’t have massive expectations in 2024, they ended the season 8-9, finishing second in the AFC South. With Anthony Richardson’s development in mind for the Colts’ 2025 NFL Draft plans,

The NFL Draft is about traits. Especially in the first round. The vast majority of teams prioritize athletic traits early because of the upside they produce. Just ask the Philadelphia Eagles. Essentially all of their stars were freaky specimens as prospects and have spectacular combine/pro day workouts on their resumes.

The only use for mock drafts, if you ask me, is to have fun and look forward to inarguably the most important event of the NFL offseason. I am not going to sit here and tell the Colts what they should,

Running back isn’t the biggest need for the Indianapolis Colts. Yet, drafting Cam Skattebo would be an excellent move. The running back out of Arizona State is projected to go as early as the second round and as late as the fourth round in the 2025 NFL Draft.
