Troubled automaker Stellantis has decided that its Ram brand needs its own executive, so it is bringing back an executive who retired this year when CEO Carlos Tavares was still running the company.

Well-known Stellantis executive Tim Kuniskis is returning to the automaker effective immediately, CNBC has learned.

The popular executive retired in the spring. Now he's back leading the truck brand during a period of upheaval for the automaker.
