The EV maker may be forced to pay approximately $243 million in punitive and compensatory damages, following a Florida court's finding that its Autopilot feature was partially responsible for the death of a young woman.

The company's self-driving technology failed to prevent a 2019 crash which killed a 22-year-old woman and severely injured her boyfriend in Florida.
