Rumors that Lucasfilm’s longtime president may be leaving Disney have swirled for quite some time. But reports that Kathleen Kennedy will retire at the end of her contract may be jumping the gun.

There’s new reporting that Star Wars boss Kathleen Kennedy will be retiring in 2025, and that has turned into a feeding frenzy of who might be poised to replace her.

Kennedy joined Lucasfilm in 2012 as co-chair alongside “Star Wars” creator George Lucas. Shortly after, Lucas exited his post as Disney acquired the company for $4 billion, and Kennedy was elevated to president.
