Alex Bowman crash in NASCAR Michigan race ends hopes of much-needed good finish
The wreck, which came in stage 2, started when Austin Cindric's Team Penske Racing Ford touched Haas Racing's Cole Custer, who jerked up toward the top of the track, collecting Bowman in the crash. Bowman's front end went flush into the wall, ending his day and bringing out the red flag to stop the race to allow the track to be cleaned.
Todd Gilliland opened up on the high-speed crash at Michigan International Speedway that put him out of the race.
