Mumbai: The relentless efforts of Mumbai Police to apprehend Shariful, the accused in the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan, have been recognized with a special ceremony. For three consecutive days, officers from Bandra Police Station worked tirelessly without sleep to track down and capture the accused.

Mumbai Police arrested Shariful Islam Shehzad, a Bangladeshi national accused of stabbing actor Saif Ali Khan during a suspected burglary attempt. Shehzad was tracked down using CCTV footage and a Google Pay transaction he made for breakfast.

The Mumbai police said they have found as many as 19 fingerprints of Bangladeshi national Mohammed Shariful Islam, alias Vijay Das, who allegedly attacked Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his house on January 16 in a failed robbery attempt, from the crime scene.

After an over 70-hour joint operation, Mumbai Police and the crime branch were able to catch the 30-year-old attacker who stabbed Saif Ali Khan at his home.

Saif Ali Khan’s attacker, Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, was arrested on Sunday in Thane. Now, according to the latest reports, it is being stated that the Mumbai police are likely to recreate the scene at the Bandra home of the actor,
