Yvette Hoffman, the wife of Minnesota Sen. John Hoffman, broke her silence after she and her husband were injured in what is believed to have been targeted attacks on Democratic lawmakers on June 14.

Before Minnesota state Rep. Melissa Hortman became a nationally recognized figure following her fatal shooting death alongside her husband Saturday morning — an act public officials have called an act of “political violence” — she was revered by colleagues as a dedicated public servant.

The governor has ordered flags to fly at half-staff in Hortman's honor. The authorities are searching to apprehend him and have not yet revealed about the possible motive behind the action.
