Pacific Coast Highway to Reopen Near Malibu

Two lanes in each direction have opened, with a 25 mph speed limit between Temescal Canyon Road in Pacific Palisades and Carbon Beach Terrace in Malibu, according to the California Highway Patrol.
"It's a major artery for L.A., and Malibu has really become an island over the past four months," owner Tim Morris. "Looking at all the people who are regulars who have been giving us phone calls, 'Hey, are you guys open? How do we get to you?'"
The Pacific Coast Highway between Santa Monica and Malibu has reopened for traffic today. The section of the highway had been closed due to the recent Palisades fire.
Pacific Coast Highway, which had been largely off-limits to all but residents, first responders and cleanup crews since the Jan. 7 Palisades Fire, reopened to all traffic Friday.
