The ongoing contract saga with running back James Cook took a negative turn for the Buffalo Bills. On Sunday during the team's ninth day of training camp, Cook sat out because of the ongoing negotiations.

James Cook, who is seeking an extension with the team while slated to hit free agency in 2026, didn't participate in a training camp practice.

During a Monday morning appearance on "The Jeremy & Joe Show," Bills general manager Brandon Beane said he did not see Cook's hold in coming.
