The late night host opened up about the country’s political climate during an episode of “The Sarah Silverman Podcast.”

Jimmy Kimmel revealed that he obtained his Italian citizenship while talking about Donald Trump’s presidency on the Aug. 7 episode of 'The Sarah Silverman Podcast'. The talk show host and Trump have been in a public feud since 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' was canceled in July.

Kimmel said that he was able to obtain Italian citizenship because of his mother’s side of the family, according to The Los Angeles Times. The talk show host and comedian has routinely criticized the president for years, as well as his policies, even during his first term.
