The Michigan football team got some big news on Tuesday as kicker Dominic Zvada announced that he will return for his senior season. Zvada has been one of the best kickers in college football this season and he has been automatic for the Wolverines.

The Michigan kicker was 2 for 2 on field goal attempts and converted his only point-after try Saturday in the Wolverines’ 13-10 upset win over No. 2 Ohio State, knocking through a 21-yard field goal with 45 seconds left to secure the victory.

Dominic Zvada, the transfer from Arkansas State, has been named the winner of the Big Ten's Bakken-Anderson Kicker of the Year award following his outstanding season for the Wolverines.

Michigan State kicker Jonathan Kim was voted second team All-Big Ten by the media and coaches. Kim was 19-of-21, including 8-of-8 on kicks between 40-49 yards and 3-of-4 on kicks of 50 yards or more. Michigan State punter Ryan Eckley also earned second-team honors by coaches.

With 48 seconds left in Michigan-Ohio State, it was obvious that everything about The Game and its aftermath — from the result, to the complexion of the Wolverines’ season, to the Buckeyes’ Big Ten title hopes — came down to Dominic Zvada.
