A hooded gunman was caught on camera shooting up the Oregon home of an insurance company CEO — who said he’d been emailed a threat with the addresses of other employees and their loved ones. The perp sprayed SAIF CEO Chip Terhune’s house in Lake Oswego,

Gov. Tina Kotek is responsible for appointing the five-member SAIF board, which in turn hires and supervises the insurer’s CEO. Kotek’s spokeswoman, Elisabeth Shepard, says the governor’s office is aware of the incident but cannot comment because of the ongoing law enforcement investigation.

The CEO of SAIF Corporation, Chip Terhune, was targeted in a shooting at his home, followed by a threatening email.

SAIF is Oregon’s largest workers' compensation insurance provider. Founded as a state agency, it became a public corporation in 1979, with headquarters in Salem. The governor still appoints the agency’s five board members, however, and they in turn appoint and supervise the CEO.
