Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday congratulated Chandigarh, which became the first in the country to fully implement the landmark three criminal laws in the country.

Prime Minister says matter of “immense joy” that these laws are coming into effect when the nation is marking 75 years of the Constitution being adopted by the Constituent Assembly.

Chandigarh is the first city to ensure total implementation of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam.
