Leon County is suggesting this route to avoid traffic congestion due to road work on Centerville Road. Amid frustrated residents and ongoing construction, Leon County has answered the call and found alternate routes for drivers during the Centerville Road construction which will last until May.

Engineers indicate that the light’s poor timing was unable to properly handle busy morning and evening traffic.

County Commissioner Brian Welch said the project manager would "pursue all available options for improving the situation."
