It’s been confirmed that Queen Camilla has been suffering from pneumonia, forcing her to pull out of a number of royal duties including a VIP visit

The Queen has told guests at the state visit of Qatar's Emir and his wife today that her chest infection was a form of the lung disease.

According to the Palace, the day will conclude with a glittering State Banquet hosted by the King and Queen at Buckingham Palace. Camilla will join the King and their guests for photographs at the start of the banquet in the evening, and attend the banquet itself, but because she is still recovering, she will take a short break before dinner.

Queen Camilla lifted the lid on a fresh royal family health crisis Tuesday after she told a visiting party including the Amir of Qatar that she had been diagnosed with pneumonia. Camilla’s comments threw a spanner in the works of a careful effort by the palace to downplay her illness,

The Queen has been urged to take more time to recover after a bout of pneumonia. At the start of November it was announced that Camilla had been diagnosed with a chest infection and was under doctors' supervision.
