Google has confirmed it has blocked more than 2.3 million apps as it publishes a new Android and Google Play security update—what you need to know.

Google has pushed an update for Android Auto that has arguably changed the Google Maps display for the worse. If you're driving without navigation, the search box will now obscure the route that you're on, so you can't see anything.

The feature is supposed to help prevent malicious apps from gaining access to your phone’s storage, camera, and photos.

If you’ve stepped into your car and booted up Android Auto recently, you might have noticed a change to how Google Maps looks. The change is that the map is now centered to the display as a whole, which places some UI elements on top of the map.

The Google Maps app for Android Auto now centers your arrow on the map, making it tricky to see behind the large destination box.
